Medicare (EPC)
Medicare Enhanced Primary Care (EPC)
EPC plans are Medicare incentive based programs that are designed to provide exercise and rehabilitation advice for clients with Chronic Conditions. These include diabetes, obesity, musculo-skeletal injuries (including lumbar and cervical spine injuries as well as chronic conditions of the knees and shoulders), heart disease, high blood pressure and arthritis. These services can also assist clients with dementia, depression and stroke victims.
DVA
Department of Veterans’ Affairs
Entitled Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) clients may be referred to an Accredited Exercise Physiologist for clinically necessary Exercise Physiology treatment by their General Practitioner on a valid D904 referral form
NDIS
National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)
Our team of Exercise Physiologists specialise in exercise prescription for those with chronic or complex needs. Our mission here is to to empower people to achieve their health goals, improve independence and help them be more able to do the things that they enjoy in life.
Exercise is an integral component of a healthy lifestyle, and can help improve function though improving strength, mobility, balance and fitness, which may be impacted as a result of disability.
Within the 2019 NDIS Support Catalogue, Exercise Physiology is now included in the Improved Daily Living Skills Category in addition to the Improved Health and Wellbeing Category, creating more opportunity for choice and control for NDIS participants.
